🇳🇱 Save the date - Taxibaan x KLM Aeroclub

Vorig jaar bestond Taxibaan 35 jaar, inmiddels is dat alweer 36, en dus is het tijd voor een feestje! In samenwerking met de KLM Aeroclub organiseren we op 5 juli een lustrumactiviteit op de luchthaven van Lelystad (en in de lucht). Samen met andere stagiairs én een KLM-piloot ga je de lucht in om Nederland van bovenaf te bekijken! Dit is natuurlijk dé perfecte afsluiting van jouw stageperiode bij KLM! Is jouw stage al voor 5 juli afgerond? Geen zorgen, dan ben je natuurlijk van harte welkom!

Wat is de KLM Aeroclub?
De KLM Aeroclub is de vliegclub voor personeel bij KLM. De vereniging is een gezellige, actieve vliegclub van meer dan 200 leden, opgericht in 1970 door een groepje enthousiaste boordwerktuigkundigen. Naast het faciliteren van een goed onderhouden vloot, voorzien van de trotse KLM kleuren, organiseren zij het gehele jaar door tal van activiteiten zoals social evenings, excursies, korte clubvluchten en trips naar het buitenland (vaak i.s.m. bevriende buitenlandse clubs) vanuit hun eigen hangar op Lelystad Airport. De vloot van de Aeroclub bestaat uit twee Cessna 172, een Piper Archer en de Aquila A21. 

Praktische informatie
Het idee is om op zaterdag 5 juli de lucht in te gaan! Per vliegtuig is er plek voor twee of drie leden (afhankelijk van het type). De tijd in de lucht en het taxiën en voorbereiden zal ongeveer 30-45 minuten bedragen. Als er genoeg animo is zal er ook ruimte zijn voor een BBQ bij het clubhuis van de vereniging. De starttijd is afhankelijk van het aantal deelnemers, dit zal wellicht na de lunch zijn. 

Het vliegen is niet gratis en past helaas niet in het budget van Taxibaan, daarom zal er per persoon een bijdrage van +/- 50 euro gevraagd worden. Dit bedrag zal voornamelijk naar de kersosinekosten van het toestel gaan. Bij slecht weer kan het evenement helaas niet doorgaan en zullen er geen kosten in rekening gebracht worden. 

Om een beeld te krijgen van het enthousiasme voor de activiteit hebben we een geïnteresseerdenlijst opengesteld. Op een later moment zal de officiële inschrijving openen. 

Vul snel de geïnteresseerdenlijst in zodat wij weten of jij aanwezig bent! Let op: als je jezelf inschrijft voor de geïnteresseerdenlijst bevestig je dat je oké bent met de richtprijs van 50 euro en dat je op 5 juli beschikbaar bent.

Last year, Taxibaan turned 35, it is now already 36, so it is time for a celebration! In collaboration with the KLM Aeroclub, we're organizing an anniversary event on July 5th at Lelystad Airport (and in the air). Along with other interns and a KLM pilot, you'll take to the skies to see the Netherlands from above! This is the perfect way to wrap up your internship at KLM. Already finished your internship before July 5th? No worries, you're still more than welcome to join!

What is the KLM Aeroclub?
The KLM Aeroclub is the flying club for KLM staff. It’s a friendly, active club with over 200 members, founded in 1970 by a group of enthusiastic flight engineers. In addition to maintaining a well-kept fleet painted in proud KLM colors, they organize many activities throughout the year such as social evenings, excursions, short club flights, and trips abroad (often in collaboration with foreign clubs), all from their own hangar at Lelystad Airport. The Aeroclub fleet consists of two Cessna 172s, a Piper Archer, and an Aquila A21.

Practical Information
The plan is to take to the skies on Saturday, July 5th! Each plane can take two or three people, depending on the model. The entire flight experience including taxiing and prep will last about 30–45 minutes. If there's enough interest, we’ll also organize a BBQ at the clubhouse. The starting time depends on the number of participants and may be sometime after lunch.

Flying isn’t free and unfortunately can’t be covered by the Taxibaan budget, so a contribution of approximately €50 per person is required. This mostly goes toward fuel costs. If the weather is bad, the event will be canceled and no costs will be charged.
